Silver prices around $68–70 per ounce in late August 2026 reflect a sharp rebound driven by easing Federal Reserve rate-hike expectations, softer Treasury yields, and heightened fiscal concerns that have lifted safe-haven demand in tandem with gold. Industrial consumption tied to solar, EVs, electronics, and AI data-center expansion continues to underpin structural deficits, while a weaker dollar amplifies physical buying. Traders are watching the upcoming Jackson Hole symposium, July PCE inflation data, and September FOMC signals for further clarity on the monetary policy path. Recent Treasury debt buyback announcements have added near-term support, though elevated volatility and gold-silver ratio dynamics remain key swing factors for September resolution levels.
