Strong southerly flow advecting cooler maritime air into the region has capped daytime heating, with National Meteorological Service guidance and multiple forecast models converging on a 12 °C daily maximum for Buenos Aires on September 12. Persistent cloud cover and winds of 15–30 km/h have further limited solar insolation during early spring, when climatological highs average near 18 °C. Recent observations from the past 24 hours show temperatures struggling to exceed 13 °C amid the stable, high-pressure setup, aligning closely with the market’s 64.5 % implied probability for 12 °C and supporting the lower probabilities assigned to 13 °C or warmer outcomes.
