Persistent cloud cover and widespread rain from an incoming Pacific frontal system are suppressing daytime heating in Seattle on September 13, driving the tight market clustering around 62–65°F. Southerly flow advects cooler marine air while high humidity and overcast skies limit solar insolation, preventing the seasonal average high near 71°F. Latest model consensus from sources like the National Weather Service aligns with these suppressed maxima, with minor variations in timing of heaviest precipitation and wind strength creating the narrow spread between the leading 62–63°F and 64–65°F bins. Traders weigh the risk of brief afternoon clearing against continued steady rain through the afternoon.
