Recent National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance points to a typical early-September marine layer pattern dominating Los Angeles on September 4, with morning low clouds and fog giving way to afternoon sunshine under southwest winds of 10–15 mph. This setup favors a daily high centered in the mid to upper 70s at downtown and coastal stations, aligning with the climatological normal of 76.7 °F and the market’s heavy weighting toward 76–79 °F outcomes. Distant moisture from Tropical Storm Marie is expected to raise humidity levels modestly but has shown limited impact on peak temperatures in the latest runs, keeping the risk of 80 °F or higher below 10 percent. Updated NHC and local forecast discussions tomorrow morning will provide the final observational inputs for market resolution.
