**Forecast consensus from the National Weather Service and multiple models points to a Friday night low in the mid-60s for Los Angeles, aligning with the market’s leading outcomes of 66-67°F (48%) and 64-65°F (33.5%).** Typical early-September conditions feature a persistent marine layer and onshore southwest flow that moderates coastal temperatures through nocturnal cloud cover and fog, keeping overnight lows near the 1991–2020 climatological average of 64.5°F. Recent observations at Los Angeles International Airport show September 1–2 lows of 66°F and 64–65°F, with no incoming cold advection or heat ridge to shift the pattern. The approaching Tropical Storm Marie remains well offshore and primarily influences surf rather than local thermodynamics. This stable setup produces low probability for extremes below 60°F or above 70°F, as reflected in the thinner tails of the market distribution. Updated NWS model runs and morning marine-layer forecasts on September 3 will be the next key inputs for traders.
