Latest forecast models from sources like the GFS and ECMWF point to an afternoon high of 26–27°C in Mexico City on September 4, driven by moderate insolation under partly cloudy skies and light easterly winds at the city's 2,240 m elevation. Scattered showers or convective clouds typical of the region's rainy season could cap the peak by limiting surface heating, while clearer intervals or delayed precipitation might allow a brief spike toward 28°C. These factors explain the tight market split between 26°C and 27°C, with lower probabilities for extremes reflecting the narrow uncertainty range in current guidance ahead of final observational data.
