Goldman Sachs leads Polymarket odds at 75.5% for lead-left bookrunner on OpenAI’s IPO due to its dominant position in large tech offerings and recent reporting that the bank is actively competing to secure the top slot ahead of a potential late-2026 or 2027 debut. OpenAI’s confidential S-1 filing in June 2026 listed both Goldman and Morgan Stanley as primary underwriters, creating a tight contest for the highest-fee role, yet Goldman’s recent win on comparable mandates like SpaceX and its advisory work with OpenAI entities have reinforced trader sentiment. Morgan Stanley’s 22.5% probability reflects its longstanding AI collaboration with the company and strong tech IPO track record, while the remaining banks trail because they lack comparable positioning in this marquee artificial intelligence listing. Upcoming catalysts include any formal lead-left designation or further S-1 amendments.

If no IPO occurs by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or OpenAI completes an initial public offering without a designated lead underwriter, this market will resolve to “Other.”
If multiple banks are identified as lead underwriters, this market will resolve according to the primary lead underwriter. If the hierarchy between them is unclear, this market will resolve once it is conclusively evident which bank is the primary lead underwriter, for example, through the order in which the banks are listed in the underwriting section of OpenAI's final initial public offering prospectus, once released.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official disclosures from OpenAI. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
