Current forecasts from multiple models indicate a minimum temperature in Cape Town on September 9 likely between 14–15°C, with clear to partly cloudy skies, southerly winds of 5–10 m/s, and high pressure supporting radiational cooling overnight. These conditions align with typical early-spring patterns in the Southern Hemisphere, where dew points near 14°C and low precipitation risk limit further drops. Slight model spreads arise from variations in cloud cover timing and wind strength, creating the tight clustering of market-implied odds around 13–15°C. Traders weigh these near-term atmospheric dynamics against historical September lows averaging near 12°C, while awaiting updated runs from agencies like the South African Weather Service for any overnight revisions.
