Recent numerical weather prediction models indicate a frontal system and increased rainfall will moderate overnight temperatures across the Yangtze River Delta on September 2, driving the market's emphasis on 26°C (46%) and 27°C (35.5%) as leading outcomes. Shanghai's early September climatology features average lows near 24°C amid transitioning monsoon influences, with current late-August observations showing persistent high humidity and easterly flows that limit radiative cooling. Official forecasts from agencies like the China Meteorological Administration project minima around 24–25°C under cloudy, wet conditions, though model spread and urban heat island effects introduce uncertainty that traders price into the 25–27°C range. Updated model runs and local station data releases over the next 48 hours will likely refine these implied probabilities before resolution.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=zspd
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event which there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
