Washington's 3rd Congressional District top-two primary on August 4 will determine the two candidates advancing to the November general from a field of 12, including incumbent Democrat Marie Gluesenkamp Pérez, challengers Austin Braswell and Brent Hennrich (D), and Republicans led by state Senate Minority Leader John Braun. The May 8 filing deadline finalized the crowded ballot, with Pérez dominating fundraising at $3.46 million cash on hand versus Braun's $918,000 as of late March. An NRCC poll conducted April 25-29 among likely voters shows Braun leading Pérez 41%-34% in a head-to-head, driven by her 50% unfavorable rating and weak Democratic brand support in the R+2 battleground district Trump carried 50%-47% in 2024. Early voting begins July 17.
