This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed city records measurable precipitation on August 10. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Measurable precipitation means 0.01 inches or more as reported by the Weather Underground station page for the city. A report of trace ("T") does not qualify. Resolution is based on the station's first published precipitation figure for the day. Subsequent revisions or corrections to the published data will not be considered; the first published value is final. If no figure has been published by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to "No".Current NOAA short-range guidance and Weather Prediction Center outlooks point to scattered showers and thunderstorms favoring the eastern U.S., Upper Midwest, and parts of the Southeast on August 10, driven by a lingering frontal boundary and above-normal moisture from an active monsoon pattern extending northward. Official model consensus shows measurable precipitation probabilities highest across the Ohio Valley through the mid-Atlantic, while the Southern Plains, Texas, and much of the West remain largely dry with only isolated monsoon activity in the Southwest. These patterns align with typical early-August climatology under the prevailing El Niño influence, though ensemble spreads remain moderate and next 6–10 day updates from the Climate Prediction Center could shift localized probabilities ahead of market resolution.
