This market will resolve according to the winner of the 2026 National Bank Open (ATP Masters 1000, Montreal), currently scheduled for August 2 – August 13, 2026. If this tournament is postponed after August 27, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, canceled, or a winner has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other." If multiple players are declared winner, this market will resolve in favor of the player whose listed name comes first alphabetically. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the tournament organizer, the ATP Tour.Ben Shelton's position as the prohibitive favorite in the ATP 1000 Montreal winner market stems from his status as defending champion and an undefeated run through the draw on hard courts, including straight-sets semifinal and quarterfinal victories with minimal break points conceded and elite first-serve percentages. Recent results highlight his strong form, experience in Masters 1000 finals, and favorable matchup against Brandon Nakashima in the all-American championship match. The wisdom of crowds reflected in near-certain implied probability accounts for Shelton's consistent recent performances and the challenger's relative lack of title-winning pedigree at this level. Scenarios that could still shift outcomes include an unexpected late injury withdrawal, weather-related delays affecting play, or a significant form dip on match day, though such developments remain low-probability given confirmed lineups and current conditions.
