BetBoom Team faces Gaimin Gladiators in a best-of-one opener during the Swiss-system Stage 1 at IEM Cologne Major 2026 on June 2. As a European VRS invitee, BetBoom enters with its locked roster of Boombl4, FL4MUS, Magnojez, S1ren, and zorte under coach Fierce, while the Americas invitee Gaimin Gladiators fields felps, HEN1, JOTA, Luken, and NEKIZ coached by horvy. The single-map format amplifies the importance of map vetoes, pistol-round execution, and early CT-side holds in what serves as both teams' first major-stage test. Recent roster locks and bracket announcements from mid-May highlight this as a high-stakes initial matchup where the winner gains Swiss momentum and the loser drops into a tougher elimination path.
