This market will resolve to “Men” if the total HDBs eaten by the men's winner is higher than the total HDBs eaten by the Women’s winner at the 2026 Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “Women”. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If either of the men’s or women’s competitions is incomplete, cancelled, postponed without a make-up date by July 18, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or no winner is determined within that timeframe, this market will resolve to 50-50. The primary resolution source will be official information from Major League Eating . A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Joey Chestnut’s consistent dominance in the men’s division drives the near-certain trader consensus, with the 17-time champion posting 70.5 hot dogs and buns in 2025 and holding the overall Nathan’s record of 76. The women’s side, led by Miki Sudo’s 2025 total of 33 and her all-time mark of 51 set in 2024, has never approached those levels despite Sudo’s repeated titles. Other male competitors routinely surpass 45–50 in recent contests, while female totals cluster well below that range. This sustained performance gap across multiple years underpins the 97% implied probability for the men’s total exceeding the women’s. Realistic variables that could narrow the margin include Chestnut’s absence or an off-day due to injury or conditioning, combined with an outlier women’s performance approaching or exceeding 50, though historical data shows such convergence remains unlikely.
