Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" holds an overwhelming market-implied lead at 85.5% for the 2026 VMA Best Country award due to its record-shattering commercial dominance. The track has spent 22 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, the longest run for any non-holiday song and a new benchmark for a female country artist. Nominations announced in mid-August placed it alongside entries from Kacey Musgraves, Lainey Wilson, Luke Combs, Shaboozey, Stella Lefty, and Tucker Wetmore, but Langley's viral momentum, streaming metrics, and cross-genre appeal have driven trader consensus. With the September 27 ceremony days away, recent CMA nods further reinforce its frontrunner status while underscoring the category's competitive field.
