Recent National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus indicate a high near 68–70°F for San Francisco on September 6, aligning with the market’s tight distribution between the 68–69°F and 70–71°F bins. Onshore westerly flow and a persistent marine layer are expected to moderate temperatures, preventing significant warming despite clear to partly sunny conditions. This setup mirrors the 1991–2020 climatological average high of 70.2°F for the date, with recent days showing highs of 69–72°F under similar synoptic patterns. Key uncertainties include the exact timing and depth of marine intrusion versus any diurnal heating, which could shift the peak by a degree or two; updated model runs overnight will provide the next refinement for traders assessing these narrow ranges.
