The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the lowest temperature recorded for all times on this day by the Forecast for the London City Airport Station once information is finalized, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/gb/london/EGLC. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. This market can not resolve to "Yes" until all data for this date has been finalized. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is finalized for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution. The Met Office forecast for London's overnight minimum on May 16, 2026, centered on 7 °C because persistent cloud cover and light westerly winds of 5–9 mph suppressed radiative cooling and limited vertical mixing within the boundary layer. This setup aligns with mid-May climatological norms for the region, where typical lows range from 7 °C to 9 °C under similar synoptic patterns. Trader consensus at 100 % for the 7 °C outcome reflects this stable model guidance and the absence of any stronger cold-air advection. A rapid clearing of skies or a shift to northerly flow could allow greater nocturnal cooling and push readings toward 5 °C or lower, though current conditions make such a shift unlikely before final observations are recorded.
