**Persistent southwest monsoon conditions over Singapore are keeping overnight temperatures elevated, with official outlooks projecting minimums above 27°C through mid-September.** Dry air and southeasterly to southwesterly winds limit radiative cooling at night, while high humidity (typically 70-85%) and scattered afternoon showers or thundery activity further moderate temperature drops. Historical September averages show overnight lows near 25°C, but current dry patterns and possible regional haze from Indonesian fires tend to suppress cooling, pushing values toward 27°C or slightly higher. Model consensus for September 18 points to lows around 27-28°C, with only modest variability from cloud cover or localized showers. Trader sentiment reflects this narrow range, balanced between the potential for slightly cooler nights if clearer skies develop and warmer readings under continued humid, stable conditions.
