The Cambridge, Ontario mayoral race on October 26 remains tightly contested among certified candidates, with trader prices reflecting a near-even split between incumbent Jan Liggett at 44.5% and challenger Scott Hamilton at 34%, followed by Ryan Bolender at 21.5%. Liggett, elected in 2022 after serving as a ward councillor, seeks a second term amid a narrowed field following recent withdrawals. Hamilton, a sitting ward councillor since 2020, positions himself with a record of motions on housing, traffic safety, and transit. Recent certification after the August 21 nomination deadline and the absence of major new polling or events have kept probabilities compressed, as voters weigh incumbency advantages against calls for alternative leadership. Scheduled all-candidates meetings and early campaign momentum could produce separation before election day.
