Paul St-Pierre Plamondon leads the trader consensus at 65 percent for Quebec's next premier because the Parti Québécois maintains a narrow edge in recent polling averages and has secured four consecutive byelection victories, capitalizing on strength among francophone voters ahead of the October 2026 general election. Charles Milliard follows at 22.5 percent after his February acclamation as Quebec Liberal Party leader, which has stabilized support in Montreal and anglophone areas amid a rebound from earlier lows. Christine Fréchette sits at 11.8 percent as the recently installed Coalition Avenir Québec premier following François Legault's January resignation, though the governing party continues to trail significantly in seat projections. Lower-probability outcomes for Éric Duhaime and others reflect limited current backing in a race defined by these three main contenders.
