Incumbent Željka Cvijanović holds the strongest position ahead of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s October 4, 2026 general election, where voters in Republika Srpska select the Serb Presidency member. Trader consensus at 75.5% reflects SNSD party continuity after ally Siniša Karan’s narrow February 2026 victory as entity president, following the disputed November 2025 snap poll. Recent U.S. engagements by Cvijanović, including White House meetings, underscore her diplomatic visibility and reinforce institutional backing. Opposition candidates such as Nebojša Vukanović, who declared his run in early May, Draško Stanivuković, Branko Blanuša, and Karan himself trail due to fragmented parties and limited polling or nominations, with no major shifts in the past 30 days beyond ongoing secessionist rhetoric.
