Recent National Weather Service and model guidance points to a partly sunny day with highs in the low-to-mid 70s for Seattle on September 1, keeping the 72–75 °F bins tightly bunched at roughly 80 % combined implied probability. A moderate onshore flow and lingering marine layer are limiting daytime heating near the climatological average of 74 °F, while weak high pressure prevents significant cooling or strong onshore advection. Ensemble spreads remain modest because the pattern is stable, yet small differences in cloud cover or wind timing could shift the peak by a degree or two. Updated model runs and the National Weather Service afternoon forecast discussion will be the next key data points before resolution.
