Recent National Weather Service and model guidance indicate a clear night with southerly flow and dew points near 70°F will keep the overnight minimum temperature in Dallas around 76–78°F on September 4. Persistent warmth from a strong subtropical ridge, combined with the lingering effects of Tropical Storm Edouard earlier in the week, has suppressed any significant cooling. This aligns with the market’s leading 78–79°F outcome at 40% implied probability. Historical September 4 averages near 74°F and the absence of an approaching cold front reinforce elevated lows, while model consensus shows minimal spread for this short-range period. Traders appear to weigh the high-confidence warm pattern against residual uncertainty in exact clearing timing.
