Patrick Brown, the incumbent mayor of Brampton seeking a third term in the October 26, 2026 municipal election, holds the leading market position at 73% amid a field of registered challengers including Sandeep Somal, Jagruti Bhatt, Wesley Jackson, and Vidya Sagar Gautam. His early confirmation of candidacy in May and formal nomination filing in late July have reinforced trader assessments of his strong position, drawing on his prior electoral margins and ongoing focus on transit, infrastructure, and public safety priorities. Other candidates trail at lower implied probabilities, consistent with the structural advantages of incumbency in Ontario municipal races and the absence of major recent shifts in the contest. Scheduled events such as the August nomination deadline and fall campaign period remain key variables ahead of election day.
