Official National Weather Service forecasts for Houston on September 11 indicate a high near 92–93°F under partly to mostly sunny skies, with a 40–60% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms driven by tropical moisture and weak steering flow. South to southeast winds around 5 mph and high humidity (dew points in the mid-70s) will support heat indices above 100°F, though scattered convection could limit peak temperatures by enhancing cloud cover or triggering earlier cooling. Recent model consensus aligns with climatological norms for mid-September, when daily highs average near 89°F but frequently reach the low 90s absent strong tropical influences. These conditions position the 90–93°F range as the central tendency, with trader-implied odds reflecting uncertainty around storm timing and intensity that could shift the daily maximum by a degree or two. Updated NWS briefings and afternoon model runs will provide the next key data points before market resolution.
