Recent model consensus from sources including the GFS and regional forecasts points to a daytime high in Istanbul on September 17 in the low-to-mid 20s Celsius, driven by northeasterly winds advecting cooler maritime air, lingering cloud cover from a passing frontal system, and limited insolation under autumnal conditions. Recent days have featured cooling trends, with maxima near 22°C on the 16th amid showers, setting up modest recovery rather than strong warming. This aligns with climatological September averages around 23°C while accounting for current synoptic patterns that suppress peaks. Traders appear to weight ensemble guidance and station-specific resolution criteria, such as official Turkish Meteorological Service readings, favoring 22–23°C outcomes amid typical model spread of 1–2°C. Updated runs and observational trends through the morning will refine probabilities before resolution.
