**Clear skies and high-pressure dominance over central Spain are positioning Madrid for a peak temperature near 29°C today.** Official forecasts from AEMET and international models consistently project a daytime maximum of 28–29°C under sunny conditions, light southeasterly winds, and low humidity, consistent with late-summer anticyclonic patterns that favor strong solar heating without significant cloud cover or moisture. Recent model runs show minimal spread, with afternoon readings expected to crest in the upper 20s Celsius before cooling overnight. Market-implied odds reflect this consensus, with traders heavily favoring 29°C (68.5%) over 30°C (28.5%) or 28°C (5.5%), indicating limited expectation of either a stronger ridge or any cooling influence. Resolution will hinge on the official maximum recorded at Madrid’s primary observing station.
