Recent Japan Meteorological Agency forecasts and ensemble model consensus indicate a Tokyo minimum temperature of 20–22°C on September 19, driven by persistent cloud cover, light rain, and elevated humidity that limit nocturnal radiative cooling. These conditions follow a period of unsettled weather, with northerly flow and moderate winds preventing sharper drops. Historical September normals near 19°C provide context, yet current atmospheric moisture and the absence of clear skies support the market's emphasis on 21°C (52.5% implied probability) as the modal outcome, with nearby 20°C and 22°C bins reflecting residual forecast spread. Updated model runs and official briefings ahead of overnight hours represent key near-term catalysts.
