The New York Yankees enter the final game of their Subway Series at Citi Field with a strong 28-18 record built on elite starting pitching and offensive depth, while the Mets have surged with four wins in their last five contests, including a 6-3 victory on Saturday powered by Juan Soto’s on-base skills and Mark Vientos’ three-RBI performance. Recent form favors the Mets at home, where they have capitalized on strong bullpen work—highlighted by Luke Weaver escaping a bases-loaded jam—and timely hitting against a Yankees staff that has allowed more runs lately. Key matchup factors include pitching rotations, with both clubs managing rest after back-to-back games, and Citi Field’s dimensions that can reward extra-base power. Historical rivalry results show close contests, but current standings and momentum position the home side with a slight edge in trader-implied probabilities for the series outcome.
