The recent closure of candidate qualifying has placed four contenders on the August 18 primary ballot for Tallahassee’s open mayoral seat, fragmenting support in a heavily Democratic field and keeping implied probabilities tightly clustered. Former state senator Loranne Ausley holds a narrow lead in trader consensus after stronger recent fundraising, while city commissioner Jeremy Matlow, attorney Daryl Parks, and businessman Michael Foust draw overlapping bases with no dominant polling data yet available. Early campaign finance reports show Parks ahead in total funds raised and Ausley leading the latest quarter, underscoring resource competition. Further separation could emerge from upcoming endorsements, additional finance disclosures, or primary performance that clarifies voter preferences ahead of a potential November runoff.
