Molly Gray holds a strong position as the Democratic nominee for Vermont lieutenant governor in the November 3, 2026, general election, following her August 11 primary victory with roughly 61% of the vote against Ryan McLaren and Esther Charlestin. As a former lieutenant governor (2021–2023) with prior statewide experience and endorsements from party leaders, Gray benefits from name recognition and early polling leads over Republican incumbent John Rodgers, who advanced unopposed in his primary. Vermont’s partisan leanings in down-ballot races favor Democrats despite the Republican governor, contributing to trader consensus reflected in current market pricing. Limited post-primary polling or major campaign developments have kept the race relatively stable, with Rodgers’ incumbency providing the main counterweight amid low overall visibility.
