Therese Terlaje secured the Democratic nomination in the August 1 primary with a narrow victory over Lt. Gov. Joshua Tenorio, advancing alongside running mate Sabina Perez to face Republican Vicente Ada and Edward Calvo in the November 3 general election. Guam’s long-standing Democratic lean, combined with the term-limited status of incumbent Lou Leon Guerrero, positions Terlaje as the consensus favorite among traders. Ada’s stronger primary margin against Frank Blas Jr. provides a clear Republican ticket, yet recent candidate forums have highlighted shared priorities on economic recovery, tourism, childcare costs, and healthcare without producing decisive momentum shifts. With roughly two months until ballots are cast, the current implied probabilities reflect historical party registration advantages and the absence of major late-breaking developments that could alter the race trajectory.
