Recent forecasts from the National Weather Service and private models project overnight lows in Austin of 75–78°F on September 5, driven by a warm, humid southerly flow, light winds, and partly cloudy skies that limit radiative cooling. These conditions align with the market’s tight clustering around 72–75°F outcomes while leaving room for modest downward revisions if clearer skies develop overnight. Historical September averages near 71°F provide context, yet the current pattern shows persistent above-normal minima with limited model spread expected before resolution. Traders are weighting official guidance and short-term model consensus heavily, given the proximity to the observation window.
