Morgan Stanley’s 73% market-implied probability for lead underwriter on Anthropic’s IPO stems primarily from its positioning as the prospective “lead left” bookrunner, a role reinforced by its leadership of the company’s $15 billion revolving credit facility finalized in early September 2026. Goldman Sachs, at 14.7%, is viewed as the likely stabilization agent, consistent with its prominent but secondary placement in both the credit syndicate and prior June 2026 reporting that named both banks as co-leads alongside JPMorgan. Recent Reuters and Financial Times updates on the delayed mid-October roadshow and late-September S-1 filing have further highlighted Morgan Stanley’s investor outreach role, while the credit-line commitments—tiered by desired underwriting economics—align the same four institutions with IPO mandates. These developments reflect standard Wall Street dynamics where pre-IPO financing participation often foreshadows bookrunner hierarchy in large technology offerings.

If no IPO occurs by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or Anthropic completes an initial public offering without a designated lead underwriter, this market will resolve to “Other.”
If multiple banks are identified as lead underwriters, this market will resolve according to the primary lead underwriter. If the hierarchy between them is unclear, this market will resolve once it is conclusively evident which bank is the primary lead underwriter, for example, through the order in which the banks are listed in the underwriting section of Anthropic’s final initial public offering prospectus, once released.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official disclosures from Anthropic. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
