Latest National Weather Service and private model guidance for Austin shows persistent southerly flow and high dew points limiting overnight radiative cooling, with the September 16 minimum expected in the mid-70s. This places the outcome squarely between the market's two leading bins—88 °F or higher versus 69 °F or below—producing the near-even implied probabilities. Persistent heat and limited cloud cover favor the higher end of recent climatology, while any strengthening of a frontal boundary or increased moisture could enhance cooling and push readings toward or below 70 °F. Updated model runs and evening observations over the next 48 hours will be the key data points for traders assessing whether the current warm bias holds.
