Recent National Weather Service and model consensus, including GFS guidance, positions the highest temperature in New York City on September 14 around 75–76°F. Northwest winds behind a departing frontal system are expected to limit afternoon warming while clearing skies after possible morning clouds or light showers, keeping readings near or slightly below the late-summer climatological average of roughly 77°F. This setup explains the market’s heavy weighting on the 76–77°F bin and solid support for 74–75°F, with lower probabilities assigned to warmer outcomes that would require stronger southerly flow or delayed clearing. Traders are monitoring the final model runs and any last adjustments from the National Weather Service before the day’s maximum is recorded.
