Northeast winds and an incoming cooler air mass are driving trader consensus toward a daily minimum of 58-59°F in New York City on September 22, with that range holding 55.5% implied probability. Official National Weather Service and model guidance show highs near 64°F under mostly cloudy skies and a 40-70% chance of light rain or showers, with overnight lows settling in the mid-to-upper 50s as northerly flow persists. This aligns closely with the 1991-2020 climatological average low of 59.4°F for the date. Recent model runs have shown limited spread, keeping 60-61°F as the next most probable outcome at 26.5% while lower probabilities attach to warmer or much cooler thresholds. Updated National Weather Service forecasts and any shifts in steering patterns ahead of the 22nd remain the key near-term catalysts.
