**Alaska's 2026 Senate and governor races feature a competitive U.S. Senate contest and an open gubernatorial seat under the state's nonpartisan top-four primary and ranked-choice voting system.** Incumbent Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan faces former Rep. Mary Peltola in a toss-up rated race, with recent polls showing narrow margins and Peltola holding slight edges or ties in some surveys amid strong Democratic fundraising and grassroots momentum. The governor's race is wide open following term limits on Republican Mike Dunleavy, drawing a crowded field of Republicans and Democrats such as Tom Begich, with polling fragmented and ratings generally leaning or likely Republican. The leading "Other" outcome at 50% reflects uncertainty over party-line sweeps in this environment, while Dems sweep at 35% and Reps sweep at 31% capture the closely contested Senate dynamics alongside the Republican tilt in the gubernatorial contest. Split outcomes trail due to the difficulty of cross-party victories under current polling and primary structures. The August 18 primary and subsequent ranked-choice tabulation remain key near-term catalysts that could shift trader consensus.

A candidate will be considered to represent a party by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with the party. Candidates who run as independents will not be encompassed by the “Democrat” or “Republican” options regardless of any affiliation they may have with the party.
If the results of these elections are not conclusively known by March 31, 2027, or if an independent or third-party candidate wins one of these elections, this market will resolve to "Other".
For purposes of this market, a "sweep" is when a party wins both races.
The resolution source for this market is the Associated Press, Fox News, and NBC. This market will resolve once all three sources have conclusively called the relevant Senate and Gubernatorial elections. If all three sources do not achieve consensus in calling the relevant races for this market, it will resolve based on the official certification.
