Leandro Riedi enters this French Open qualifying clash as the higher-ranked player at world No. 121 with a career high of 117, holding a recent 7-3 record over his past ten matches. The Swiss right-hander brings stronger ATP-level experience on clay and has posted solid results in European clay-court events leading into Roland Garros. Chris Rodesch, currently ranked No. 166, faces the tougher path as the lower seed in the qualifying draw, with limited recent wins and a career-high ranking of 137. The red-clay surface favors baseline consistency and movement, areas where Riedi’s prior Grand Slam qualifying appearances and overall form give him the clearer edge in this first-round matchup.
