Recent polls for Berlin's September 20, 2026 Abgeordnetenhaus election show Die Linke, CDU, AfD, and Grüne clustered within a few points of one another in the 16-22% range, with SPD further back. This narrow band among the top contenders leaves second place highly fluid, as small shifts in turnout or voter movement between left-leaning parties and the CDU-AFD bloc can reorder the ranking. CDU support has stabilized after its prior lead candidate withdrew in July, while AfD continues gradual gains amid broader national trends and local concerns over housing and security. Linke has edged ahead in several late-July and August surveys. Further debate performances, coalition signals, or late polling swings before election day could widen or close gaps among the leading contenders for second place.
