James Duckworth enters this Geneva Open qualifying clash on red clay as the clear favorite against lower-ranked Miguel Damas, driven by superior recent form and ranking. The 34-year-old Australian sits near No. 81 with a strong 9-1 clay record in 2026 and 14-10 overall, leveraging his experience and consistent baseline play. Damas, ranked around No. 260 at age 26, shows mixed results with a 9-19 mark this year and limited success at this level. No prior head-to-head history exists between the pair, but Duckworth’s higher ranking, recent momentum on the surface, and deeper tournament experience create a significant edge in this first-round qualifier matchup.
