Singapore’s equatorial climate and southwest monsoon patterns typically produce daily maximum temperatures of 31–32°C in mid-August, with the current strengthening El Niño episode tilting conditions toward the warmer end of that range through reduced cloud cover and enhanced subsidence. National Environment Agency guidance and multi-model forecasts indicate maxima most likely between 32°C and 34°C for the coming days, aligning with the market’s heavy weighting on 32°C and 33°C outcomes. Urban heat-island effects and limited diurnal variability further narrow the distribution, while short-term model updates from Singapore’s Meteorological Service will provide the next key data points before resolution.
