Chen Yu-jen holds an overwhelming trader consensus in the Kinmen County Magistrate race as the Kuomintang nominee and sitting Legislative Yuan representative for the county. Her strong 2024 re-election with roughly 65 percent of the vote, combined with Kinmen’s established KMT voting patterns and absence of a Democratic Progressive Party candidate, underpins the positioning. KMT party leadership selected her in March 2026 as the sole registrant for the nomination, highlighting her record on local and cross-strait issues ahead of the November 28 vote. Minor candidates including Li Wen-liang and independents register far lower implied probabilities due to limited organizational support and historical results in this KMT stronghold, with no significant late shifts reported in the past month.
