Recent Met Office and ensemble forecasts indicate London’s minimum temperature on September 23 will likely fall between 10–12 °C, driven by a shift from high pressure to increasing cloud and light southwesterly winds overnight, moderating radiational cooling. Model spread centers on the exact timing of cloud arrival and wind strength, which explains the tight clustering of market-implied odds around 13–15 °C. Historical late-September minima average near 11 °C, but the current warmer-than-normal pattern and potential for clearer spells could push values slightly higher or allow brief dips if skies clear earlier. Updated model runs and Met Office briefings over the next 48 hours will refine these thresholds ahead of market resolution.
