Lin Kuo-chang, the Democratic Progressive Party nominee, holds a modest edge in trader pricing for the November 2026 Yilan County Magistrate election, reflecting narrow leads in early polling against the main opposition contender. Wu Tsung-hsien, the Kuomintang legislator backed by a KMT-TPP coordination effort, trails but remains competitive in head-to-head scenarios, with Chen Wan-hui positioned as the separate Taiwan People's Party candidate. Yilan's voting patterns, turnout dynamics, and local issues such as infrastructure and cross-strait relations continue to shape sentiment, while the absence of decisive new surveys or campaign events since mid-2026 keeps implied probabilities tightly clustered. Further separation could arise from joint opposition strategies, candidate registration deadlines, or late polling shifts ahead of election day.
