Recent National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus point to a high in the upper 80s for Miami on September 4, driven by persistent southeast flow, deep moisture, and afternoon convection expected to limit surface heating. High precipitable water values above 2 inches and CAPE in the 2500–4000 J/kg range favor scattered to numerous thunderstorms, with sea-breeze boundaries and any lingering influence from prior tropical moisture enhancing cloud cover and evaporative cooling that caps peak readings. The close market-implied odds between 88–89°F and 90–91°F reflect trader weighting of uncertainty in storm timing and intensity, as earlier or weaker convection could allow brief spikes while stronger activity favors the lower end of the range. Updated model runs and NWS briefings over the next 48 hours will refine these variables ahead of resolution.
