Recent forecast guidance from the National Weather Service and local models points to mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers on September 16, 2026, supporting an overnight low near 58°F as a moderating influence from increased cloud cover and moisture. This aligns with a broader cooler, wetter pattern settling over the Front Range after mid-September warmth, though ensemble spreads introduce uncertainty around exact radiative cooling under variable cloud decks. Historical September 16 lows average 49°F, but current atmospheric conditions favor readings several degrees above normal. Traders appear focused on model-to-model differences in boundary-layer moisture and wind speeds that could trim the minimum into the low-to-mid 50s versus holding near 58°F, with resolution hinging on the final verified observation from Denver-area stations.
