Recent forecasts from the National Weather Service and models indicate a marine layer with increased cloud cover and a chance of showers for Los Angeles on September 6, limiting overnight radiative cooling and supporting lows in the upper 60s to low 70s—well above the early-September climatological average near 64°F. This pattern, driven by onshore flow and higher dew points, explains the tight clustering of market-implied odds around 68–73°F while leaving room for variability depending on exact cloud timing and any localized clearing. Official updates from the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard office and refreshed model runs will refine the minimum temperature reading at the primary observation site ahead of market resolution.
