This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 13 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=zspd If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Current forecasts for Shanghai on September 13, 2026, center the lowest temperature around 22–24°C, aligning closely with market-implied probabilities that favor 23°C (48.5%), followed by 24°C (24.5%) and 22°C (24.0%).** Multiple sources, including Chinese meteorological sites, Met Office, and international models, project overnight lows in this range under overcast or partly cloudy skies with light northeast winds and stable high pressure near 1018–1020 hPa. These conditions limit radiative cooling while preventing significant cold-air advection, keeping minimums above typical early-September climatology in some runs. Hourly data show temperatures bottoming out near dawn (around 05:00–07:00 local time) at 22–23°C before daytime recovery to 28–30°C. Recent model consensus has remained steady without major shifts from cold fronts or enhanced cloud cover that could push readings lower, supporting the tight clustering around 23°C as the mode. Traders appear to weigh the narrow forecast spread and low uncertainty in steering patterns, with tails for 21°C or below remaining minimal absent unexpected developments.
