Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Austin-Bergstrom indicate a high near 99°F on September 22 under sunny conditions with light easterly winds, supported by mid-level ridging and limited moisture. Ensemble guidance and private models cluster in the mid-to-upper 90s, with slight afternoon convective chances (10-20%) that could cap temperatures if clouds increase. This setup aligns with the current unseasonably warm pattern, well above the 1991-2020 average high of 89.6°F, though model spread and boundary-layer mixing introduce uncertainty between 96-99°F bins. Updated NWS briefings and 12Z model runs on September 21 will refine the exact maximum.
